Empty Rooms
Empty Room
Faceless faces everywhere.
Each at a desk,
Each at a chair.
In empty rooms
they all compare
how their faceless faces
continue to stare
at the faceless man
who pretends to care
about new hopes for knowledge
and truth, that are there,
filling the air
of the empty room,
an empty square,
a silence impossible to bare
whilst listening with honest ears
to the age-old, sickening prayer
that faceless faces
must beware in those
empty rooms - beyond repair –
remaining constantly aware
that you and I are not
alone in our ecstasy
or in our despair.
